Fall goes to the Fair- HeatherCoen often will switch mediums after a long period using oils. This switch occurred three weeks ago. I got out a number of pastels that I had partially completed from plein air events (“Plein Air” simply means outdoors). I competed on a regular basis at these events often taking home ribbons or awards but as many of you know, my husband took ill and most of my work came to a standstill. However, I did care-taking for three and a half years and in March, got to the point I knew something more had to be done. I placed him in skilled nursing and see him everyday but now I can think about doing my artwork again!
Fall Goes to the Fair!
Five of Heather’s pieces in three different categories are entered into this years Arizona State Fair (https://azstatefair.com/). I’m always hoping for a ribbon but this is the first time I entered so who knows? If you attend be sure to see the fine art show and vote for my work.
