29 Aug Trillium Gallery
Just recently I’ve been working with Trillium Gallery in Saugerties, NY. My work is being shown in the gallery window and I’ve been published a few times in their books and magazines. The owner works very hard for the artists involved and puts together the publications herself. Maureen says, “I do for the a sake of seeing artists learn and send a little light into the world.” If you are near the Catskills in New York state please stop by Saugerties and take a look! Besides the work in Trillium Art Gallery, my solo show at Boyce Thompson Arboretum started a month ago and the reception is tomorrow. I’ve got everything lined up but am scrambling to find a good promo give-away. I can hardly wait to get there and meet all my new clients!
My thoughts turn to plein air work this week as the temperatures in the Phoenix basin start to go below 100. Unfortunately, tomorrow (reception day) is going to be very hot at 108. It took years but I finally got my art supplies down to a single small suitcase for oils. I just love painting outdoors with other artists. I will be at Boyce Thompson on Monday, September 1st painting most of the morning. Fortunately, besides Trillium Gallery I have found the coordinator for Boyce has bent over backwards to promote my solo show and get me painting space. I will be inside the Smith, air-conditioned space if the heat index is excessive on Monday. My plein air work goes on! Here’s the link for the Boyce Thompson show:
